Honestly, I'd like to shed some light on the art. I don't think it's up to par, but I think I understand why they made it look so friendly and whimsical. The story itself is supposed to be a tragedy... So in order to feel the proper sadness, one would need to feel a connection or love for the characters... so I guess I can appreciate the amateur like art.
